Magaliesburg Earth Ship building

To build a fully self sustainable off grid Home out of waste materials like old tyres, glass bottles etc to enable the poor and disadvantaged to learn to build a home to live with dignity and be fully self sufficient by using the Earth Ship building concept to recycle water for vegetables and fruit growing. The Earth Ship uses thermal mass to keep the home warm in winter and cool in summer. It uses solar panels for electricity. It is exceptionally cheap to build using low technology that will be taught in the 5 day workshop. This will radically improve people’s lives by giving them the information and tools they need to build their own homes. We are raising funds for Micheal Reynolds and his team from Earthship Biotecture to come to South Africa to show us how to build these homes to show people a more sustainable way of living.
