- I lost my son on April 10, 2016 my daughter on May 9,2016 of a brain aneurysm. My husband and I lost both of our children which spun my husband into an anxiety attack. He was taken to the VA hospital, while there someone stole his cell phone, which had our son's last conversation on it before he died. My husband loved texting my grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren so I told him we would replace his phone when the social security checks came in. On June the 3rd he started to the store. He backed out of our driveway and stepped on the accelerator to back out and the accelerator stuck. He tried to kick it loose but it wouldn't let go. He pushed hard on the brakes but it wouldn't stop. Our van went down a ditch, up a hill into the neighbors yard and hit there house. The impact broke the steps, stoop, bent the door and door frame, the picture window frame, cracked the wall in over 4 places and punched a hole in the lower wall. It broke off 2 trees at the root and killed 4 shrubs under the picture window, it totaled our van and worst of all we fell it broke my husbands back which ultimately killed him. He died on June 20, 2016. The doctor said cancer killed him because he had a bruised chest HE HIT THE STEERING WHEEL. This diagnosis has cancelled out any insurance benefits I may have received. I am 79 and we were married 62 years. I am now left with social security that doesn't allow me enough to live on and hire someone to help take care of me. I am in a wheel chair and need the help. I want to move close to my granddaughter so she and my grand kids can help me and I can help them. Thank you for any help you can give me even if only prayers. God Bless You!
