Campaign Story
My name is Derron Swart and I am South African born and bred. I am a car salesman and am a commission earner. My company has instructed me that they cannot pay me until our country's lock down is over and I cannot move jobs as there is a moratorium on new appointments. I have a family to provide for and am unable to do so due to the countrywide lock down imposed by my government on the 27th March 2020.
I have depleted my savings over the last 2 months and am unable to pay my rent or buy groceries for the next month and possibly the following 3 after that.
My country will only return to normality after lock down, which is a minimum of 3 months away as my government have implemented a staged easing of the restrictions. Unfortunately, although there is no discrimination in South Africa, I cannot rely on my government to assist me in any way as I am not in the "correct" demographic.
The funds raised will be used to pay my essentials, i.e: rent, groceries and food for my animals. (I have put a hold on accounts payable for 6 months thanks to the assistance from my creditors)
The funds are needed as soon as the end of May and I pray that I will be able to meet the needs listed.
I truly will appreciate any assistance and no amount is too small at this point.
I pray the Lord richly bless whomever is willing and able to assist myself and my family. God Bless.
