I'm tired of reading about the hundreds of thousands of fellow countryman who are furloughed because our goverment leaders can't have civil conversations and find common ground within differences. My backyard in Jackson, Wyoming is a national park. Millions of tourists visit every year and these tourists keep our local economy humming. The government decided to close down national monuments and parks because they deemed them "nonessential." TO WHOM are these "nonessential?" Isn't that subjective? To my local town, it's not only essential, it's the reason this town still exists. Sure, there are other businesses and industries, but our tax revenue depends on tourists. Jackson, Wyoming isn't singular to this issue. There are numerous towns across the country in a similar predicament.

I am setting this fundraiser up so that local communities can fund those federal employees who did a fantastic job maintaining and running these national treasures and get them back doing there job.

How: One day a week don't buy that $5 dollar coffee you get every day on the way to work and put it in this fundraiser. Let's pay their salaries and show the federal government that locals can do it better.
