LGBTQ Uganda Lives Matter

You could be arrested or worse murdered for being LGBTQIA in Uganda, but we as a community have learned and accepted our truth.

Some of the problems faced by LGBTQ people in Uganda that need to be addressed are stigmas causing social isolation, poverty, health disparities, and barriers set up to detour the use of existing services and homophobic attacks against us.

My name is Etonga Vincent. I am a 38 year old gay man. I was born in a town called Apac in the beautiful country of Uganda. Apac is a town in Apac District, Northern Uganda. It is the 'chief town' of the district and the district headquarters are located there. Even in all of its beauty there are many problems we are faced with everyday despite efforts to Fight Social Injustice Toward LGBTQ Citizens . We the LGBTQ people of Apac will benefit greatly from your support. Our campaign is presently in progress as we are electing concerned and dedicated officers to lead this effort lasts until May 5, 2021 but the funds will help to set up services outlined below. Our goal here in Apac district is to ensure that we are treated as equals like every other resident and citizens our government affords to Ungandans. This includes but is not limited to:

• Social and economic empowerment
• Health education
• Social justice
• Safety from homicide
• Mobilizing the minority communities to know their rights relative to electing leaders who can transform their voices.
• Creating awareness among the communities.
• Acquiring transport means to reach the community very easily.
• Availing necessary food and assistance for HIV medicines, condoms, emotional support for LGBT community, youth, the disabled, HIV and AIDS victims and others.

Your charitable donations will afford us the opportunity to address these issues that ravage our very souls and would make a way for our LGBTQ youth, seniors, and disabled to be empowered with a brighter future.

The funds are needed beginning 1, January 2021 through 5, May 2021.
