Career Guide Africa is to Help and Assist the vast disadvantaged Youth in South Africa and Africa to stay in school by providing suitable advance Career Guidance.

The Cause

It is no secrete, that today in South Africa, there is still a high inequality rate in Education, between the poor and privileged, the result of this is a large number of the disadvantaged Youth still suffer, because they are neglected by society and due to this, they easily give up on school at an early stage in life.

Career Guidance

There is a great need of an Advance and constant Career Assistance, especially amongst the disadvantaged communities, the World is quickly evolving and the Youth of today are easily distracted by Drugs, Gangs, Sex and Alcohol at a very young Africa is hardly affected by this plague as society has no control of such tragedies at large, most of these Youth, no longer care about why they need to go to school even though they are told that education is key to a brighter future.

This is due to the lack of assistance on Career Guidance where the disadvantaged youth will have an abundance of relevant career so that they can have an engraved visual understanding at the earliest stages of their schooling lives, as part of their foundations, as to why they have to go to school...in order to occupy these careers.

We acknowledge the work being done by other institutions but more work needs to be done with the disadvantaged communities across Africa.

Why are we doing this?

Career Guidance Africa is established to address a Social problem by providing a solution as Advance Career Assistance to the unequal Education system in South Africa and Africa.

We believe there is a great potential for Africa`s future Youth and we are not waiting for Governments to decide its future.

How are we doing this?

We are starting with a online and offline Video series that will profile all, in-demand and less known Careers in the World. Then do a follow on a constant Career Guidance tour to all disadvantaged High schools in the Country and later outside South Africa after we achieved our local short term goals. We are using the most popular and effective methods, as they are used in other industries such as Pop-culture and are very successful.

The reason for this approach, is to be constant and relevant to the modern technology to reach out to the disadvantaged Youth in disadvantaged communities by having a meaningful entertaining interaction with them, so that they feel appreciated.

Our milestones

Will be to convince the South African, Department of Education to adopt this Initiative as part of its National Curriculum and help assist disadvantaged high schools, by implementing the Career Guide Program, online/Video series as part of their Life Orientation program and have each class from grades 10, 11 and 12 view the video series once a week during school hours.

Our second milestone will be to reach half of the African Countries in 36 months using Digital Technology.

Our main milestone will to achieve the project`s flagship, to Establish World Class Career Museums across the African Continent in the next 60 months.

How much money do we need? What do we want to achieve with it.

We are raising R65 000, to start shooting our Career Guide Video series that will profile different Careers in detail. Please help us fund this Initiative, a minimum of R15 000 will enable us to begin shooting the Career Guide Video series.
