Lets save Kelly-Jane

Anyone who knows Kelly, knows that her soul is as bright as the moonlight sky and is deep as any ocean, she truly is magical in so many ways, and without her, this world would just simply not be the same in any way, shape or form. She is the kindest, most caring and generous being whom we are all blessed to be part of her life. Her spirituality and vibrant zest for life leaves a mark on every single person that she meets. She lights up a room and people are drawn to her positive energy and bubbly personality. This is just the surface of whom Kelly is. She is just adored and loved so much by all her family and friends and those that meet her.

In May of this year, our beautiful Kelly-Jane was diagnosed with Stage 4 Bladder cancer, and was (to put it lightly) given two more Christmases to live. All those having had faced or whom are facing cancer treatment, know that there are countless medical costs that come with any and every procedure, but Kelly's situation is complicated. At the end of 2017, at age 38, she was diagnosed with cervical cancer which she fought and won the battle, which was a costly and extremely stressful time for her and her loved ones around her. She also suffered multiple side effects from the first treatment of chemotherapy and radiation. At the beginning of 2018, she was rushed into hospital with a rupture in her small intestine due to radiation damage and had to be rushed into theatre and part of her small intestine removed. She was in ICU for 10 days fighting for her life and again found the courage to beat anything that was thrown her way. It was in May 2019 that she was in such agony, that she again was rushed to the emergency room, and it was found that she had a rupture in her right kidney. She had temporary stents placed in both of her ureters to help drain the water that was surrounding the kidney and stretch the ureters that were damaged from the radiation. It was during this procedure that the doctor noticed the tumour in the bladder. This was a complete shock and such traumatic news to have to accept; it has come back and is more aggressive than ever! After her mum whom she adored and was her rock recently passed away a few months before hearing this news, it was all just too emotional and unbelievable and the pressure of this financial burden that was about to surface is unfathomable. The cancer has spread into her bladder, and through the bladder wall and into the pelvic wall lining. It is also in the lymph in the abdominal area, lungs and the incased the main iliac nerves in both legs which is causing unbearable amounts of pain. It is the hardest thing to sit and watch your loved one go through this rollercoaster of emotions and agony and feel so helpless.

Kelly please needs your help, we need your help. She has had to step away from work due to the pain and weak state that she is in and in order to prepare for the next 6 - 12 months of treatment. As the cancer has unfortunately spread to the above mentioned areas, the only effective treatment for this stage of the cancer is chemotherapy along with a load of immune boosting drugs and strict eating regime to help her sustain her weight. The approximate cost of the treatment is $65 000 (Approximately R975 000). This treatment plan will be very aggressive and she will be booked for daily procedures. Kelly is the strongest and bravest person we know and she is ready to fight for her life and for a future that she so rightly deserves, she refuses to give up! She was diagnosed at the age of 38 years old and is now only 40 years old. She has her whole life ahead of her and she is not ready to leave this world.

Your donations will help Kelly right away. We are desperately wanting to start with treatment as soon as financially possible as the cancer which is circulating through Kelly's body is aggressive and spreading rapidly. Her next appointment to schedule treatment will be taking place in the next couple of days and the procedure will undoubtable be very difficult and lengthy. Doctors appointments have already begun and the bills are coming in. Any donations will make an immediate impact to help relieve this pressure and get Kelly the treatment that can help save her life.
