Let us help Baby Cathy born with a Tumor on her Adrenal Gland

Ako po si Ma. Christina Joy Dueñas Libang nakatira sa 76 Pangasinan Street Bago Bantay Quezon City. Pinsan ko po si Cherrylyn Dueñas sya ang ina ni baby Cathy Dueñas Jerez edad apat na buwan at na diagnose sa sakit na ADRENAL TUMOR.

My name is Ma. Christina Joy Dueñas Libang currently I am staying at 76 Pangasinan Street Bago Bantay Quezon City. I am the cousin of Cherrylyn Dueñas, the mother of four month old baby Cathy Dueñas Jerez who is diagnosed with a TUMOR on the ADRENAL GLAND.

Sa palagay namin nag simula ang lahat nung ipinagbubuntis sya ng kanyang ina. Ang mama ni baby Cathy na si Cherrylyn Dueñas ay isang PWD deaf and mute. Nalaman ko na lang na hindi pala sya naipapa check up noong buntis. Walang vitamins o kahit anong turok na kailangan kapag buntis.

We are suspecting the tumor started during the pregnancy. You see my cousin and baby Cathy's mom Cherrylyn Dueñas is a PWD deaf and mute. I found out that during her pregnancy my cousin did not go for any check ups. She has not received or taken any vitamins or shots which are required during pregnancy.

Nung isinilang na si baby Cathy, muka syang isang normal na sanggol. Sa new born screening nya, normal naman lahat maliban sa hearing test na nag fail.

When baby Cathy was born, she looked like how any normal baby would. During the new born screening all the results came up normal except for the hearing test which she failed.

Tuwang tuwa naman kami sa kanya kasi malusog kako ang pisngi marahil dahil sa ina sumususo. Bandang 3 buwan na sya nun tsaka ako nakaramdam na parang may hindi tama. Kasi lumalaki yung muka nya pero yung katawan payat at yung timbang magaan masyado kapag kakargahin mo. Doon na kami nag desisyon na ipatingin sa doktor. Matapos gawin yung mga lab test at ultrasound, lumabas na findings ay Adrenal Tumor.

We were excited and happy with baby Cathy cause she looked so healthy with chubby cheeks which we thought was due to her breastfeeding from her mom. It was on her 3rd month after being born that we started to feel like something was not quite right. Her body started getting thinner despite her face continuing to grow and you could tell just by carrying her that her weight was quite low. It was then we decided to have baby Cathy see the doctor to get checked out. After the lab tests and ultrasound were done, the results showed there was a problem she had a TUMOR on her ADRENAL GLAND.

Pinapakuhaan sya ng cortisol na blood test. Naging mahirap talaga makahanap ng public hospital na may ganoong procedure. Pre requisite sya ng CT scan. Kailangan may result na ng cortisol bago makapag pa sched ng CT scan. Quote samin ay 13,000 Php para sa CT scan. Yan silang dalawa ang need sa first step sa gamutan ni baby Cathy. Mahirap na mahirap yung mag ina. Padyak driver ang kabuhayan nung nakabuntis at may mga ibang anak pa sa naunang mga kinasama.

She requires a blood test to check her cortisol levels. It is difficult to look for a public hospital that is capable of those type of procedures. She also requires a CT scan. But to be able to schedule for a CT scan they need the results of the Cortisol test. We were quoted 13,000 Php just for the CT scan. Both baby Cathy and her mom are required to undergo the cortisol tests. Both mother and daughter are really going through tough times. Baby Cathy's father is a pedicab driver and has other children with his first partner.
