Leo’s Transition Fund

Hi! My name is Leo and I'm an eighteen year old transgender man. This fundraiser is to support my transition, specially to pay for hormone treatment.

Being transgender is not something I'd wish on anyone, it is a difficult, costly journey.

The money raised from this fund will go straight towards my transition in the form of doctors fees (about R1100 a visit), blood tests (around R1300 for a full set) and the cost of the testosterone itself(R563) and the needles and syringes needed to administer it.

I have to see a doctor every six months with a full set of blood tests to make sure the testosterone isn't affecting me in a negative way, and to get a new prescription. I also need to buy testosterone every 6-9 months, depending on my current dosage which is assessed by checking hormone levels via another blood test.

My parents unfortunately are extremely unaccepting, and it is only thanks to some of my friends that I've been able to make it this far. This is the reason why I have to turn to fundraising.

I know there are a lot more important fundraisers to donate to, and so I'd appreciate any small amount you can spare if you're willing to, every small amount counts.
