Leilakai’s College Journey

Leilakai is a brilliant scholar who has graduated with honors from high school in a new state post pandemic. She has dreams of pursuing education in Criminal Justice and is a well rounded, talented athlete (from kung-fu to soccer) who deserves a chance to succeed in college without the burden of debt. She was chosen to become a Restorative Justice peer counselor at 9 years old and continued to receive awards both in sports and academia. With all this talent, it is my desire to ensure Leilakai is supported and truly feels the commitment from our village through love, encouragement and resources.

She chose to attend Georgia State University which is powerful since this is where she lost her grandmother and great grandparents altogether in a house fire in Atlanta . For her to be able to create legacy where we’ve experienced tragedy is truly a powerful undertaking and we can’t do it alone.
Your support means the world as Leilakai will continue to be brilliant and stress free in college knowing there is an Army of support around her.
