What is Legalbet Arbitration, and What do We Stand for?

Legalbet Arbitration is a non-profit project curated by Legalbet, a designated sports betting website. Our team has been mediating conflicts between online sportsbooks and their customers since 2014. Our goal is to protect the customers’ rights when they find themselves unable to resolve an issue without some outside assistance. By doing so, we make sure that those coming to us for help have a fair chance of completing the verification procedure, receiving a well-deserved bonus, reclaiming their winnings (or just their funds) that have been trapped at a sports betting website and successfully resolving other issues.

What are the Reasons for Declining Withdrawals?

The reasons for a sportsbook to freeze their customers’ accounts range from a human error to AML and identity theft-related concerns. Surely, there are a number of scenarios in which we have to decline a complaint. They include but are not limited to customers not complying with the law or the sportsbooks’ terms and conditions. We believe that, by doing what we do, we take important steps towards a more fair and consistent licensed betting market. We are not making any money from mediating conflicts, and expanding Legalbet Arbitrarion to other countries takes time and resources. Within a year, we are launching Arbitration in Belarus, but we don’t want to stop there. We want to launch Legalbet Arbitration for the UK, and €10,000 is a good starting point. It will be enough for sustaining the project for the entire year.

Today, Legalbet Arbitration is taking complaints against sportsbooks licensed in Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan. As of February 2021, our efforts have helped their customers reclaim over 70 million Russian rubles (over 683 thousand pounds) and about 80 million Kazakhstani tenge (about 137 thousand pounds).
