Learning to walk again after Intensive Care- My mom’s need for therapy in a life care center

This is where I tell my mom's story. It is pretty graphic, and pretty amazing. What you see in the photo is a pacemaker temporarily mounted outside her neck until she gets it in permanently. Her initial complications started the first time she had a heart attack from severe Co2 poisoning in 04. Years after, she still suffered from undersized lungs (her mom drank turpentine- it stunted her lungs)- she continuously succumbed to pneumonia year after year, making her congestion and infection worse. A month ago when she started getting dizzy she fell, her heart stopped from a lack of oxygen, and the EMT's knew they couldn't shock her 3 stent implants so they did chest compressions. She was in the hospital for a week starting on June 5th. They told her she had mold in her lungs and gave her antibiotics then sent her home. I brought her to Boise to meet with her doctors (to get clearance to have her lower teeth fixed from an inner jaw infection) but they told her to wait one more month till her O2 levels were back up. After a year of waiting for clearance she was only 4 days away. Unfortunately she collapsed several times last week, was taken in on Sat night of last week, and her BP was 60/ 30 and she was lethargic and then unresponsive . At that moment I thought she was going to die. The doctors found that she had pneumonia, mold AND liquid in her lungs requiring a ventilator tube; a heart blockage issue requiring a pacemaker (still mounted to the outside of her neck until her blood infection clears- you can see it taped to her skin in the photo, the 2 wire leads are inserted inside her neck), a blood and lung infection, and when looking for internal bleeding they found a giant ulcer- 2 transfusions later her blood o2 levels are still a little low so they may need to go see if they can find more internal bleeding, and right now she is too weak to stand or even raise her hand to her mouth. There are more scans, medicine 'pushes' through the feeding tube and pick line, and no date finalized for her release to weeks of therapy to regain her strength.
I have witnessed a true miraculous recovery from death's door this week, and my mother's amazing strength is an attestment of her faith and support systems. Because she is too weak to stand she is going to need some things here to help her recover here in hospice therapy. One of those things is a new pair of glasses, as she lost her bifocals, she can't see anything. Another thing she needs is support for the rest of her living expenses and other recovery/medical items, as her insurance doesn't cover all her expenses related to her stay for the next month including a walker and medication costs.Please consider donating what you can- if multiple people donate $10 then small amounts add up to huge miracles- and Thank You for your considerations towards her recovery needs!
