LEARNING TO PLAY GUITAR to HELP, OVERCOME GRIEF Tribute to Kirk Tolbert

When I lost my life-partner August 17th, 2019, I lost a large part of myself. Kirk Tolbert turned 64 on July 31, 2019 but he wasn't even aware of it. The next few weeks, I never want to repeat, ever, in my life. I watched him die of liver failure. Of Cirrhosis which I suppose was caused by alcohol.

Kirk and me spent the last three years of his life in Western Idaho. We lived in Humboldt County, NorCal. In San Diego. North County. In Grand Island Nebraska and from what I could see there was no water nearby to uphold it's name but Kirk was a musician, an artist a student of sorts and we loved singing. He did a lot of Ad Lib. We both did. We were a queer couple as we lived parallel lives. We lived in the same cities at the same time and didn't know each other. We went to the same colleges at the same time and didn't know each other. We even both grew up in houses with circular driveways.

He loved to play guitar and harmonica and drums, now and then. He played with many greats. He jammed with Jerry Garcia, Bob Torbert of Riders of the Purple Sage and many more. Norman Greenbaum, too.

I want to learn to play guitar as a tributr to the Captain. Captain Kirk, "On a good day." He would say. I want to keep him alive in my heart by learning to play guitar. His friend Guitar Dan, who passed away a year or so before Kirk was a friend of his for over thirty years. RIP.

I'm on disability and can't afford to pay for these lessons. They are seventy-five dollars a month at American Music in Caldwell, Idaho. I have taken four lessons already and have learned two songs. I am learning "Wish You Were Here" by Pink Floyd. And I was taught, "Louie, Louie." Please help me with this Tribute to my friend and SoulMate, Captain Kirk.
