Latymer Uganda Project 2018

I'm really proud that my school, Latymer Upper, helps support three amazing children's charities in Uganda.

The three Charities are M-Lisada, who aim to reduce the number of vulnerable children living on the streets by providing a home, an education and protection, The Hidden Treasure Primary School, a school with children from the poorest sections of the community that relies totally on donations, bartering and fees from the few parents who can afford to pay and Soft Power Education, who aim to improve the quality of life through education.

Latymer's past fundraising activities have helped to build a new classroom at The Hidden Treasure primary school. This year, a party of students from Latymer are travelling to Uganda to get practically involved in improving this new classroom and offer our help and support where we can in the community

I am super excited to be one of those going on this trip which promises to be rewarding and life changing. I really want to help make a difference.

Between now and October, I will be doing various things to help raise some extra money for our charities starting with a multiple lap bike ride around massive Richmond Park on June 10.
