Last Resort

It is half way through the year and It has come to a point where I can’t go on any longer without help and so I have to swallow my pride and finally ask for help.

I am a twenty-year-old university student in South Africa currently in my first year of mechanical engineering. Throughout the year it has been difficult for me financially. My parents aren’t able to help me with a lot of money. I am in a difficult place as my parents aren’t paying for my university studies, but I am actually waiting for a student loan to be approved.

My parents (My father, as my parents are divorced and my father is the person who “can” help me the most) helps me out with money, but this is a small amount of a about $55 a month, which goes primarily to buying myself food and other things I need throughout a month (toiletries, clothes, etc.), but as this is a very small amount to live by, even if you budget very well, all the money goes for food, but not for the whole month.

By the last week and a half of the month, I don’t have money left and resort to eating only porridge in the mornings (but I don’t have money for milk, so I use water) or starving myself.

So, this is my situation, the reason why I made this page, as it is my last resort as I am tired of not being able to eat properly. I struggle with studying as I am always hungry and without energy. I have lost a lot of weight since last year (Not healthy for me as I am already skinny).

Now I ask you if you could be able to help me in any way. For me to properly live and eat throughout a month, without worrying when I am going to starve and just being able to live normally, I would only need about $400 a month, but I would greatly appreciate any and all donations.
