「停課不停學」租借電腦計畫

受 “新冠病毒” 疫情影響，全港學校普遍推出了網上授課教學，為確保學童能維持正常學習及上課，我希望可以推出有關租借手提電腦計劃，以供低收入家庭學童租借使用，輔助有需要學生進行學習及完成網上功課，計劃內容如下：

計劃安排

• 計劃將於租用期內，租借出手提電腦予有需要之學童使用；
• 租借手提電腦型號：Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 1 (14"HD／AMD Athlon™ Silver 3050E／4 GB DDR4／64 GB)；
• 租借數據卡及便攜式路由器(Pocket WIFI)型號：Huawei 隨行WiFi 3 (E5576-855)
• 提供基礎電腦使用支援課程。

計劃目標：以不同方式支援學童於疫情期間能如常進行網上學習。所有捐款都會捐給香港新來港人士服務基金用於活動服務

香港新來港人士服務基金，是一個按香港稅務條例88條註冊成立的非牟利慈善機構，致力為基層新來港人士及家庭提供多元化的服務，透過升學、就業、家庭及學童課餘輔導等服務，協助新來港人士適應香港文化、教育制度及生活模式，擴闊生活圈子，增強自助互助能力，從而更好的服務社會、建設香港。

COVID-19 has forced many students in Hong Kong to embrace remote learning. But not everyone is as fortunate and have the financial resources or access to computers. Families that cannot support often resort to smartphones but face the problem of smaller screens, slower speed, harder to read as well as longer term issues like eye and shoulder pains.

When it came to my awareness that over 70% of underprivileged families do not have access to hardware or software of some sort required for e-learning, I decided to fundraise for this issue. I will be working with a registered charity in Hong Kong (Hong Kong New Arrivals Services Foundation Limited) to purchase new equipment (laptops, pocket wifi, data card, etc) from funds raised and roll out a rental program for low-income families. Rental, as opposed to giving away, allows for continous support and follow-up of the beneficiary family's situation. The ultimate goal of this initiative is to reach a certain mass that allows underprivileged students unhindered access to computer and technology, ensuring that no one is left behind.
