LabANJ : Help Anj Fight Cancer

A simple, meaningful, and well-rounded life was what Anj and Raymond shared. After meeting and falling in love in 2014, they have been practically inseparable, going on outdoor adventures, outreach activities, and time away from the city to enjoy nature and God’s creation. In 2017, Raymond popped the question and they have been happily engaged since, looking forward to spending the rests of their lives together and raising a family.

In May 2019, Anj complained of lower back pain and went in for a check up. After a series of tests, it was then that they got the shocking news that she had cancer- Stage 4 Breast Cancer.Anj is only 36 years old.

Since then, Anj and Raymond have sought to give her the medical care she needs. She’s been in and out of the hospital, undergoing chemotherapy, and getting the treatment she needs. As with anyone battling this insidious disease, Anj needs your help in providing for her medical care. We appeal to your kind and generous hearts to allow her a fighting chance at recovery and building the life she and Raymond have been looking forward to. Please pray for Anj as she’s in for the fight of her life. Your material and financial contributions will be much appreciated, too.

For now, Anj is on medical leave from her job in a BPO company. Raymond, a professional mural artist, has also needed to cut back on projects to focus on caring for Anj. While they have not formally said their vows, Anj and Ramond already exemplify what it means to be together for better or for worse, in sickness and in health. Their courage to keep fighting and having a positive outlook is inspiring. Raymond has been by Anj’s side since day one, taking care of her needs.

They are grateful for the support of family and friends who have helped them raise funds. But since the fight goes on, more funds will be needed for Anj’s continued medical care. They have both lost their parents and come from small families with limited resources. Anj lost her brother in 2014 to Chronic Kidney Disease, too soon and only in his 30s. She’s left with only one other sibling who helps support her needs.
