Kinders Need a Smartboard!

My Students: Our community is facing a major upset in the lack of technology within our school district. With two failing bonds within our community just this year our technological updates have failed to update. We need this SmartBoard to engage our young learners growing in a world of techology.

My 24 students are bright eyed and eager to learn! They are wonderful students but are not exposed to nearly all the technology we need to prepare them for their future, let alone how much technology they own at home. When coming to school it must feel like a time warp for them as we are operating on items I grew up on 20 years ago (I would know, I attended the same district). We are Michigan Public school with moderate poverty and could really benefit from the engagement a Smartboard provides.

My Project: Growing and learning in today's technological world can be overwhelming for some. In my years of student teaching and teaching I have had endless training on technology and even have purchased my own to share. It is now time to step up and provide these students with the exposure necessary to learn and grow in our bustling world. Please give us the opportunity to provide this piece of technology that the failing bonds of 2012 cannot nor the teacher's own pocket.

My project is so important to me because we have had two failing $8 million dollar bonds to update our school district in the year 2012. As most of our funds are moving towards better security systems which I know will be necessary, I would also not only like to provide a safer school but a more interactive, updated, and technological learning environment.
