kim milhano eye fund

Hi!!!  My name is Kim Milhano, 27 years old.  I was born with an eye disease called Aniridia, which has deteriorated gradually throughout my life. I have black eyes with no iris (the coloured ring), catarcts and muscle weakness in both eyes. I can now only read the top letter on a standard eye test chart and get blinded from any light sourse easily. Even when people don't think something is bright, to me it is! Even reflections can be very uncomfortable.  After seeing 4 consultants and heaps of phone calls, I have finally found a specialist who will take on 2 complicated operations to improve my vision, remove my cataracts, insert iris implants to stop so much light entering my eyes and correct a dislocated lens in my slightly better eye.  Unfortunatly the NHS cannot help with the procedure or costs, so although this is such an expensive process, it is something that is going to change my life, for the rest of my life!!!
