KIDNEY FAILURE TREATMENT FOR NOMPUMELELO MARILYN SAMAMBGWA

Nompumelelo Marilyn Samambgwa (NMS) End-Stage Kidney Failure Treatment:

After 13 years of battling with chronic hypertension, on April 13 2020 NMS was diagnosed with end-stage kidney failure, where both kidneys were affected and needed emergency dialysis. Since then the costs of treatments have increased astronomically beyond her affordability. Because her kidney failure is on stage 5, she needs 3 treatment sessions a week to survive. Unfortunately, because she currently has no medical insurance and is on a 24 month waiting period for chronic disease medical aid coverage, she sometimes goes once a week or not at all.

NMS is a beautiful, free-spirited young woman and a vibrant creative fashion designer, and a curator who had hopes of becoming successful in the fashion industry and also inspiring young women. Since her diagnosis and also fueled by the inadequate treatment she has been setback by chronic fatigue, headaches, poor eyesight, and symptoms that come with kidney failure.

Her wish is to continue with her dream but that can only be possible with your help. She recently got a donation of a dialysis machine thanks to a family member. However, she still needs a hemodialysis reverse osmosis machine, dialysis consumables, renal nurse, monthly check-ups, blood tests, and multiple doctors visits. All these can be made possible through your donations and we thank you in advance.

Together with your donations, she also intends to help one or two people in dire need of dialysis since there is a serious shortage of medication and dialysis consumables at most public hospitals in Zimbabwe.
