We are devastated by the loss of our dearly beloved daughter, sister, niece and cousin Kgothatso Mdunana, a final year Civil Engineering student at Shandong University (China); and we were not prepared for the high costs of repatriation fees as unfortunately, her travel insurance had expired.

We, therefore, have created this crowdfunding platform in order to repatriate her remains back home to South Africa from China. Thus we are appealing for any financial assistance in order for us to bury her on her home soil.

The estimated costs of her repatriation from Shanghai has been estimated at $24 000 (R350 000) and any assistance in this regard will be greatly appreciated.

This is proving to be the most difficult time for our family and we want nothing more than to be afforded the opportunity to say our last goodbyes to her. She deserves a send-off that is fitting for a person of her nature. She was ever-smiling and jolly, adventurous and free-spirited. This is how we will remember her.

All contributions received will be used towards the costs of repatriation and her burial. Every contribution will be significant towards getting closure for our family. Please keep us in your thoughts as we embark on this very difficult journey.

Rest In Peace Angel
