Kenya 2014

We are going over to Katharaka Primary School in February to develop links with Conifers Primary School and to work with the teachers and children there. We will also begin the process of setting up internet in their school so that the children in both schools can communicate easily with each other and work on collaborative projects. The long term aim of the partnership is to develop a global dimension in the creative curriculum at Conifers that will help the children to become successful global citizens. 

Miss Wilson and Mrs Power will be abseiling down the tower at Weymouth Community Fire Station, Radipole Lane, at 3:30pm on the 17th of December. The choice of costume we do it in is up to you!! The 2 costumes that receive the highest number of votes will be kindly lent to us on the day by 'Tom and Erin's' fancy dress shop on the Esplanade. There will also be a 'Teddy Zipwire' competition for the children to enter with great prizes donated by The Shirtshack, Argos and Shakydog.

The majority of the funds for the trip have been granted by the British Council. However the more funds we raise the more resources we can take with us in February. For example we would very much like to be able to take memory sticks, cameras and a laptop with us.
