Campaign Story
I have a friend who needs help. Keith is a 70 year old man who for the most part has lived a regular life. He’s a father and a grandfather, has a small business selling sailor knots at the local market or does jobs re-rigging sailboats for people. But in his youth he was hero to many people. He joined the Navy and worked as a corpsman assigned to a Marine unit. His job was to go out and get the wounded off the front line, and patch them enough to get moved to a Med unit. Keith has never heard the words “thank you for your service,” because Keith served in Vietnam. He, along with thousands of men and women did his country’s bidding as part of their job. They gave their youth, innocence, and in too many cases their lives for their country. And in return, they were shunned, ignored and looked down on. And to the Government, an embarrassment. Our Government managed to destroy thousands of military records and then took the stand that if they didn’t have any record of you, you did not exist. Keith has spent over 30 years trying to prove that he does. And the Government has finally acknowledged him. Last year, they sent 2 federal agents to his home to threaten him. Last week, they sent a federal Marshall to arrest him for fraud. They informed him that they are going for a sentence of 15 years in prison, and a $1,000,000.00 fine.
Keith needs your help. Please contribute anything you can for Keith, . Please forward this to all of your friends and ask them to forward it to all of theirs. And please send a prayer or positive thought for Keith.
