Keeping our Family Afloat

Hi my name is Brian, in recent months my family has found ourselves on a ship that has a leak and is slowly sinking. I have 4 wonderful boys, aged from 6 mos- 15 yrs old. I recently left the military with a total disability and we are struggling to keep afloat in this economy.  We are just trying to stay afloat, trying to ride this storm out.

Here's the situation, when I left the military we were only expecting it to take a couple of months to start receiving my disability pay. Six months later, and we are still waiting. My disability has left me in a state in which I cannot perform the work I have in the past. I am in school to learn another occupational skill but I am not near finished with my program. My family and I are just looking to get through til either I finish school or my disability pay starts.

The plan for the money we raise here is to pay bills that are overdue and avoid service shutoffs. 2 of our boys have birthdays coming up and we don't have money to buy them gifts, so some funds would be used to purchase a couple small gifts. The main purpose though is to pay the bills, that desperately need to be paid.

Our intent once everything is fixed is to donate to other people that are also in need. Just know that this is a time when we are in need of help, and we will show the same. Once we can weather this storm out.
