Keep a roof over our heads PLEASE

Hi, my name is Tammy

My plea is to please help my family raise funds just so we can stay in our home. We can hassle daily for food if need be but the roof over our heads is all we asking for to keep us safe and off the streets.

Here is the story why...

I am a resident of South Africa. Like with many other families, my family has been negatively affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Before the pandemic strike, my family consisting of my parents, myself and my brother ran a small business. The income was not significant but it was enough to pay the rent, pay bills and provide necessities like food and electricity for the month ahead.

When South Africa lockdown level 5 was imposed our business was affected for 3 months which set us back in 3 months home rent as we had absolutely no income and used the little savings we had to feed ourselves during the lockdown period.

When lockdown restrictions were eased and we were able to reopen our business we had no funds to pay business rent which inevitable forced us to close our business. Looking for employment has been a difficult task as jobs in South Africa are scarce.

We have survived up until now by borrowing money and selling household items. We are now at the point where access to funds is just impossible.

We are still 3 months in arrears with rent and our landlord is now demanding that we bring this upto date by February 7th 2021 or we will have to vacate. Even finding money for food right now is a struggle let alone finding 3 months worth of rent.

My plea is to please help my family raise funds just so we can stay in our home. We can hassle daily for food if need be but the roof over our heads is all we asking for to keep us safe and off the streets.

We know life is tough and there are so many families out there with greater needs than ours.

We will be externally grateful for any funding received to assist my loving family.
