Katie’s Cancer Collection

Hey everyone,

I hope you have all had a wonderful Christmas and New year! While we have all been enjoying a restful and family filled Christmas and new year period, one of my best friends here in Asia has received some pretty devastating news. She has been diagnosed with Cervical Cancer. :(

Unfortunately it is too far along to be treated with medication, her only option was to remove her cervix. She had the procedure and hoped it would be the end of it. However after a couple of follow up examination her Oncologist, recommended a further invasive surgery to remove her uterus and both fallopian tubes. While this is bad news enough she was dealt a double whammy. As her condition was discovered between changing jobs, she is not covered by her work health insurance as they say it's a pre-existing condition.

For anyone who knows Katie she is full of life, loud, mischievous, and a whole lot of fun. I want to do all I can to put that smile back on her face, so I'm starting this campaign. This is where we need your help. I know this time of year is tough on our wallets but anything you can spare would be hugely appreciated, every little helps.
