Kaleb’s Cause

Hello, my name is Jamie.  I set up a fundraiser to reach out to all the wonderful people in the world who are looking for a worthy cause to donate to.  Every family has their own personal struggles and we are no different though sometimes I feel like we have been given well over our fair share. 

I am a mother to 2 beautiful boys.  My oldest son, Kaleb, was diagnosed at 2 1/2 years old with moderate autism, 1 week after our second son was born.  At the time of the diagnosis, we were told not to expect too much from our son.  Like most children, Kaleb received therapies through the state until the age of 3 and then we relied on the public school system for his therapy needs.  We also started seeing a DAN doctor (which is a specialist in neurological disorders, including autism) in 2006.  It was at this time that we found that Kaleb has lead poisoning and that his levels in his biomedical makeup were all over the place and not in normal range.  In addition, Kaleb was later diagnosed with ADHD, anxiety disorder and has OCD tendencies. 

Kaleb has made great strides in his "recovery" but we still have a long way to go.  His medical needs are financially stressful and there are many recommended medical therapies/supplements needed for him that we are unable to afford. 

Anything donated to Kaleb's Cause will be used for ongoing medical purposes in Kaleb's recovery.  Kaleb's high anxiety limits his time outside and in being active so we are also desperately trying to make a sensory room for him.  This would benefit him in so many ways.
