K.C’s Dream of Becoming an Influencer

I am Kalvin Collins. I've been living with my parents ever since I was born, little did I know that they were extremely poor. When I got into sixth grade, they told me everything about why our circumstances are so pale. I didn't understand it at first, but as I grew up, I started understanding the harsh environment we lived in, the tireless hours my parents worked and the least of resources we had.

I was quite happy in seventh grade, surrounded by friends and pop culture, fun and games. Games. I finally started playing more games than I did, watching walkthroughs and tutorials on YouTube while saving money to become a YouTuber. I was excited to one day become an Influencer, but the dream soon got broken by an unexpected event that made my father lose his job, causing us to suffer even more intensely, I grew depressed as to the sickly members of my family and the struggle when I transferred to a whole other school when 8th grade came.

I gave up all my savings to support my family, otherwise, we wouldn't have survived until my mother found a better job than paid but 450 Dollars per month. Their debt overwhelmed the family and caused us to use the 450 she got monthly to acquire resources needed for us to survive. My father is 8 Months without a job, and our power has been put off and so has the owner of the house threatened to sue us for not being able to pay a year's rent.

I am now fifteen, and I'm on my way to 10th Grade. And for three years I haven't been able to save either a penny for what I want to become. I've only been hanging onto the visual and the dream of becoming a YouTuber/Influencer. At school, I am doing fine, I made friends over the two years I've been in High School, though I had to take risks and accept losses. As I write this description, I live in a tiny house with no power and even more scarce is food.

The amount of debt my family has is too much to ask for, the needed amount is only to acquire the best of gear I can to start creating a dream, and also to pay off some debt, only to start off. For in the future I plan on paying off all their debt with my ad revenue, of course, a legal guardian will manage my ad revenue, for persons under 18 can't apply for it without a guardian.

It will also let me achieve my dream and It might just get rid of my most painful conflict.

I also made great effort to make this campaign look good, with the knowledge I have.

ABOUT ME

I took this photo last year, in fact. With the help of a photographer of a friend. During me and my family's whole struggle, I tried numerous things to raise money for us, I tried to write a Book, tried to participate in surveys, tried to get part time work and I even tried looking for jobs online, but my age mostly counted against me.

I have many conflict, but stay as positive as I can be, becuase one of my school teachers told me that being negative will make you have a bad day, and being positive will make your day turn out pretty well. I took the advice and life became somewhat better, I might've been spacing out in the last two months after my greatest conflict got worse because of someone's actions, but I still stay positive.

THE MILESTONES AND USE OF FUNDS:

With 50 000 USD, I can do the following...

• Pay for our power to come on
• Pay off our only transport before it gets confiscated
• Help my grandmother's cancer diagnosis
• Pay our rent for the years it has not been paid
• Get a setup to start creating
• Get better wardrobe to look better on camera
• Provide family with enough funds to regulate debt.
• Have the funds to boost the channel and start having a revenue.
