Jungle Conservation Volunteer Project

Welcome

everyone, my name is Alice and I've participated in volunteering in the Jungle conservation Program in Peru. I've always been amazed at how animals , plants and forest all work together as one, united as a whole. To see anything from that get extinct or destroyed would be devastating and heartbroken to us all, and this is where the importance of this funding comes in. This funding will greatly help in conserving of whats left of the remaining rainforests is important to the survival of many life forms.

One primary work area is reforestation

. The importance of reforestation is the goal to regenerate forest, which brings environmental benefits to the native plants and animals whicha are the main importance to the forest. Planting trees, shrubs and other native plants and removing non native plants will improve and help restore the the forest from previous fire and cutting down trees. I feel that restoring of whats left is very important.Trees and plants provide a naturl habitat for other life forms as a home and food source, including as a natural water purification system.

Second primary work area would be wildlife inventories

. Wildlife inventory includes documentation of the birds and primates. An inventory of natural areas and wildlife helps volunteers like myself to plan and protect important features.

Jungles are important to every living thing

. Jungles produce most of earth's oxygen, and removes carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.

-It provides a suitable habbitat for hundreds of different animals and plants.

-Also a home to tribes as well

If we dont take action the earths oxygen will run out eventually..and that will be sad for our children and granchildren to have to deal with. The future is in our hands NOW! I really believe that together we can make a difference.
