Julie Ann, 6 months pregnant and mother of 3, is currently fighting for her life against COVID19

Julie Ann Torrepalma, from Cebu City Philippines, is currently 6 months pregnant. On September 4 2021, she was rushed to the hospital because she was struggling to breathe. There, they found out that she has pneumonia and is COVID19 Positive. She is now currently admitted at Visayas Community Medical Center Hospital, intubated and in critical condition.

Please help us bring ate Julie Ann and her baby girl home, both in healthy conditions. She still has big dreams for her children and her future baby, but all of that will be gone because of COVID-19.

On August 24 2021, Julie Ann began to have a cough and had check-ups, in which she was given medications. On September 2, she went to a doctor and was given Acetylcysteine 200mg. On September 3, she used a pulse oximeter to measure her oxygen level and the reading was 92% 02 saturation. On that evening, she began using an oxygen tank but it only lasted for an hour.

The next day, September 4, an ambulance was called and her OB GYNE doctor was contacted so she could be quickly admitted to the hospital, since most hospitals are already full due to the influx of COVID19 patients. She was assessed and did the Rt-PCR swab test. She was given oxygen and has undergone several laboratory tests. The doctor's order was to prepare Tocilimuzab 400mg/20 mL IV 2 vials (which is very expensive and hard to find, around Php85k to 120k in the black market) if the patient is positive. Her results came that evening, and it was positive.

Her current status is critical condition, intubate attached to a ventilator.

The total cost of her hospitalization is not yet fixed, and we still don't know the overall total cost. But it is significantly higher since it is COVID and the OB-GYNE team are also involved in giving treatment and medications. There is health insurance but it will be deducted upon discharge, credit limit of the hospitals are very minimal so we have to keep on depositing money for supplies, medicine, and laboratories in the hospital.

The average cost for COVID19 hospitalization is around Php 1M - Php 1.5M. We are humbly knocking on your hearts to please help us raise the much-needed funds. Any amount you can donate is sincerely appreciated.
