Shortly after losing Fred to his medical battle, Judy was admitted to the hospital as well.    She was home for just a short time,  when she heard a sickening crack, while walking up stairs.  Robbie helped her get straightened out and called an ambulance.  What the Doctors found was shocking to say the least.  They found that Judy had a broken hip and that the break was caused by a tumor.  Judy has Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

Judy has been in the hospital since July, first in Langley, then in Royal Columbian, followed by a stint at Surrey Memorial.  She spent a few weeks at Queens Park and is now at Laurel Place, a private care facility.

Laurel Place is partially paid by our medical system, and the patient pays a daily rate of $31.25 (Approximately $1000.00 per month).  This is addition to her existing costs of maintaining a home, paying for her medications to help her deal with the chemotherapy side effects, transportation to and from Doctor’s appointments and Chemotherapy treatments,  and the whopping $400.00 per month equipment rental for Wheelchair and Walker.

WE WANT TO HELP!  Our goal is to raise as much money as we can to help Judy get through these months of treatment and help while she is going through her recovery.    This is more than one family can take on, but not more than we as a group can do.

Any amount will be helpful and we appreciate your kindness.
