About this project A Little About Us Josh, my brother, and I are two hardworking, goal setting, community driven, young business opportunists who love our community and love our sports. We enjoy looking quite fashionable I might add. Working out is a passion of ours that we enjoy encouraging others to do and we like sharing the joy it gives to people. Josh and I are young men with big hopes of having a gym to share with others. We are willing to do whatever it takes to make it a success. Our Gym Goal My brother and I have been working out together for quite some time now and we either have to travel 15-20 minutes or more to a quality or go to someone's damp dark basement to use their old rusty equipment. Not only that but we are sick of hearing people in our town complain about how they're out of shape due to the lack of gym accessibility. Many community member have the will and the want to workout and get into better shape as I have talked to many of them about it. They just do not have the time or means to travel 20 plus minutes to a gym do so. We are trying to provide an easily accessible gym at a low cost for those driven individuals or families. Not only that but the local high school does not have a weight room which greatly affects the careers of high school athletes. It puts our sports teams way behind the competition. The gym could provide a quality workout space and weight room for these student athletes in a safe environment. In the summer we wish to build an obstacle course to train those who are on the military career path to prepare them for boot camp. Our Apparel Goal I know that when I workout in front of others I like to do it while looking good. We hope to not only have a gym but also have our own line of apparel. From shirts to shorts to hoodies and everything in between. You can buy anything with our gym logo or you may design your own logo. Even personal embroidery with names, numbers, teams, practically anything you can think of is possible. Location, Equipment, and Costs Josh, and I already have a location lined up, many many committed future members, an insurance provider, and an equipment supplier. We do not have the means necessary to purchase all of these things along with the press for the apparel and the embroidering tools. The building itself will require some renovation to provide locker rooms and a space to create our clothing. Once the business starts to really expand we will be looking to buy another location strictly for our clothing production. Risks and challenges Problems that we may potentially face are lack of expansion. The goal in to raise enough money from our gym to fund a second location for our apparel. If we do not generate enough revenue to expand we could have trouble filling orders. The gym itself should have enough members to pay for the utilities needed and insurance every month with the embroidery giving us the profit. Another looming problem is that there has been other talk of gyms being built or implemented in the area so we need to tap this market first.
