Joining the dots between my past and future

Dear supporters,

 I've applied for a postgraduate exchange with a university in Strasbourg, France. I'm still beyond excited that I've been nominated, but am beginning to think about how I will support myself in Strasbourg for 6 months as I work my way through my second language. I have wanted this opportunity for a long time as I want more than anything to be fluent in French and exposed to the culture. I hope that proficiency in French will lead me on the way to a career in international development and humanitarian work. On the way to France, I want to stop in India, where I lived as a kid because of my dad's job. I haven't been back to my childhood home for 13 years, but they were the happiest years of my life in a beautiful country that I crave everyday. At the age of 12, this is where I became committed to studying development so that I can work in the humanitarian sector and make my little difference in the world. I'm working hard as a waitress to fund my dreams while studying my Masters, but I need a little more help, so I invite you to make a little difference in my world if you can.
