ICT Academy needs your help in increasing its 3D printing capacities for the production of face shield masks to protect medical workers/staff in Kosovo.
Face shield increase protection from COVID-19!
As the pandemic COVID19 continues to surge, one of the things that has become terribly evident is that there is not enough personal protective equipment to go around to all the health professionals and caregivers who are putting themselves at risk when treating people struck with the disease. Face shields are generally not used alone, but in conjunction with N95 masks. Healthcare workers insist that – “If you have an N95 mask and you don't have a face shield; you don't have a proper protection.”
ICT Academy in time of pandemic transitions to manufacturing
ICT Academy ictacademy.net has started manufacturing face shields to protect medical workers on the frontline, and they are risking their lives for us in order to take care for citizens with virus COVID19 in Kosovo. In the past week and continuing ICT Academy has manufactured for donation dozens of face shields to healthcare workers. However, our present capacity on manufacturing with existing 3D printers is 50-70 face shields per week.
There is an urgent need for thousands face shields.
What do we need?
To address this emergency the production time, capacity must be maximized. ICT Academy must purchase 5 new 3D printers and quantity of filaments. To raise the funds for the purchase of equipment ICT Academy has initiated this Crowdfunding Campaign through the reputable crowdfunding platform GOGETFUNDING.
