Campaign Story
Jayden was born with a bone disease called Rickets. This disease causes the body to not produce enough phosphate or Vitamin D. His mother, and his grandmother both have the disease as well, but Jayden may have it worse than them both. He has bowed legs, an oddly shaped skull, and odd shaped chest compared to his friends. And now we are finding out that his teeth are affected by this disease as well.
About a year ago we noticed that Jayden had a loose tooth along with what looked like a gum infection. We took him to the dentist, and had to get the tooth pulled. We thought that was it, but not even a couple of months later, the same thing happened again, another tooth needed to be pulled. Fast forward a year later, and he is now getting his 6th tooth pulled. This issue is caused by his bone disease, Ricketts. The teeth are very porous and bacteria can easily travel through the teeth into his gums, causing infections that are uncontrollable.
