Jaxx and one of her puppies was surrendered to us by her owner when they got sick and he couldn't afford to pay vet bills due to the government shutdown. He is furloughed and not receiving a paycheck. Sadly the puppy didn't make it but Jax is doing very well now. We then took in the adult male, Harlem who was also exposed. Jaxx and Harlem both tested positive for Parvo. They received iv meds and fluids and now both are thriving. They will be released to a foster home today. Now we desperately need help to recoup the money that we had to spend on their treatment which has depleted our rescue's bank account. Please help us and donate if you can to help towards their vet bills.
We received this update from the vet this afternoon. Since this was received the male adult dog was brought in with the same symptoms but not quite as severe. He has started the same treatment as Jaxx. We will update more on him tomorrow.
