I adopt jack, an adorable black cat, around a month ago. He is so very sweet, curious, and loving. His charming personality, and her presence has significantly enriched my life.
About one week ago I started noticing that he would sometimes fall when jumping and that he would occasionally stumble when running. And he stop eating and drinking water. He now has difficulty walking, running, and jumping, and i have no idea why.
Than after two days I take him to the vet and we find out that he got infected with wet Feline infectious peritonitis (FIP). Until recently FIP was considered a death sentence and was only treated with palliative care. However, in 2019 a clinical trial at UC Davis discovered the cure for FIP: the nucleoside analog GS-441524, also called “GS”.
FIP Treatment is not cheap one vial cost $100 he will need 84 days of injections to reverse her body from creating mutated cells and instead create healthy cells.
I love jack and I will do whatever I can do to make sure he lives his best life. His Xrayreport, blood works are attached below 📎
