Dear Izizwe friends and supporters,

In these difficult times, we have changed our focus from our normal programs for the youth and elderly to an emergency relief fund for the people of Walmer Township during the lockdown in South Africa.

This is the time to help however we can, we ask you all to get involved with raising funds so we can help as many people as possible in the next difficult weeks.

Our primary goal is to raise R200.000 (11.000 euro) to help 80 families for 3 months with R800 a month.

This would give those that already struggle and live in challenging situations to have some food and dignity in this time of doubt and worry.

We want to challenge you to do what you can but to do something.

Now is the time for living up to the spirit of Ubuntu (I am who I am because of others) and doing this together and creating a world we all deeply want, one of Love, Fair Share and Compassion.

We at Izizwe Projects need your help and donate to help us help as many families as we can with this basic income for the next 3 months.

We are working with reputable organizations we know for many years like Missionvale Care Center, Masifunde, Ithemba Special Care Center and even extending our support to those in Cape Town. Together we identify those who truly struggle and donate funds directly to them.

Think about the grannies with 6 grandchildren they look after, think about the sick and vulnerable, the elderly who come to our container every week, all those that will worry through the night about what might come and how they will get through this. These are people for who struggling is the norm and no meal is guaranteed and helping them in this time will lift their spirits and help them through these dark insecure times a little better.

Please donate to support our efforts to offer this emergency relief fund, we are in this together. If we all help those that are vulnerable and in need we can make this a time of actually being part of the solution and change the world is going through.

One love.

Martijn and the Izizwe Projects team.
