IVF for me and my wife

HI my name is jack and me and my partner jennifer have been trying for a baby for some three years now. we finally relised that there was a problem and went to the doctors after many tests and heart ach we founf out that my sperm count was low and the only way to go was through IVF so we desiceded to go with it until we were told because jennifer has a duaghter from a previous relashionship that we could not get any help with the IVF as there was a child already in our relashionship but i asked the doctor "i am the one with the low fertility" but this does not matter so the NHS will not fund this and then we were told it will cost £4000-£6000 which we just can not afford we are newley married and just want to build to our family i dont understand how some else can dictate on our family outcome when there not the ones in this position so please would you help us
