It doesn’t hurt to ask :)

Hello all :) My name is Peter and I'm in quite the predicament.

Long story short -- I am 3 months behind on rent and a couple on utilities. How did I end up in this predicament you ask? Well, I had a great job opportunity doing contracting work with a gentleman who has his own small business. My first week on, i ended up getting paid after each shift. However, after my first week, it was agreed upon that I would be paid for each job that I completed. I ended up completing two jobs simultaneously and was supposed to be paid $1200. That money never came. The owner of the small business took all the money and I ended up with nothing. I was (and still am) devastated. People have suggested calling the police, etc. Or taking him to court, etc. There's one problem with that...I wasn't on paper for his company. I was told after my first week i would be. But I was too trusting (and foolish) and let myself get played. I don't have any proof of this man promising me pay either :-( Since then, I started working but haven't recieved my 1st check. I took the 1st job that called me back after applying and I'm making minimum wage ($10/hr) Needless to say I NEED HELP. I am extremely lucky to have an understanding landlord who is allowing me to live in my efficiency and pay back my back rent that is due. Unfortunately I'm so far behind that my bills are piling up and I feel as if I'm sinking. ANY amount donated to help me is very much appreciated and will be used to pay back rent and bills.
