International Association of Online Tutors Conference

Online tutors unite at the first bi-annual conference in Orlando, Florida tentatively set for December 27th to the 29th, 2013.

PURPOSE

I want to create a community of online tutors that come together and make their own dreams become a reality. No longer, do teachers have to work in a school system and be separated from loved ones. No longer do teachers need to stop working because they have reached a certain age. Teachers deserve choices and I want to guide them as this new career path opens up for them.

All of the pieces are in place currently with funding, except for the conference that is tentatively set to be held in Orlando on December 27th to the 29th of 2013.. This is where you come in. You can support us in getting this first conference in place and as a result you will get rewarded.

WHO AM I?

My name is Joanne Kaminski and I am also known as the Skyping Reading Tutor. I taught in the school system for 9 years and once having my own children, I really struggled with not being able to be more present for them. I desired balance, but didn't know how to achieve it.

An illness took me out of the school system and I began brainstorming other ways to make money. I figured out a way to run my own online tutoring company and have been doing this for 3 years. It has not only allowed me to be more present for my kids, but it has given me the freedom to teach from anywhere in the world to anyone in the world.

I want to share this gift with other educators that have a desire to teach online whatever their reasons may be and to not have to work under school administrative terms. I want to provide a system that will allow them the freedoms that I get to enjoy today.

READY TO SHARE

We are currently at the stage where we can share our concept with the world. Many people who try to set up their own tutoring business struggle with how to market and organize their business. I have created a four step system that introduces tese concepts in a book that I have written, Job Security in Teaching for Life: How to become an online tutor. The four steps are mindset, organization, marketing, and services.

In order to go from teaching in the educational system to a business owner there is a mindset shift that needs to occur. Next, organizational systems need to be in place to run a business smoothly and effectively. Step 3 is marketing and marketing is necessary to get the work out about your business. Lastly, step 4 is services. I teach people how to provide the best services that they can so that their business can flourish.

BOOK AND PROGRAM

The paperback book is currently on sale on Amazon for $16.99 and the Kindle book is available for 4.99. People who are interested in learning more about running their own tutoring business can purchase the Tutorpreneur program. This program is currently in creation and will be complete by the end of April.

Beginning in June people will be able to order the program and be part of the membership site. The membership site will create a forum where online tutors can brainstorm together ways to make their business grow and flourish It will also be a place where they can immediately begin digging into the content to create their own business.

Each year we are going to provide two conferences where online tutors from around the world can come together to learn and grow from each other. There will be speakers that talk about each of the 4 steps including mindset, organization, marketing, and services. Online tutors will be able to network with other tutors in person and be able to help each other when it comes to referrals in addition to stay motivated and excited about what they do.

At the $100 level you will get the tote bag and two signed books of your choice.

People who donate $500 can choose half page ad space in our program or a copy of the Tutorpreneur program. In addition you will receive the tote bag and 2 signed books of choice.

People who donate $1,000 will get the Tutorpreneur program, 1 year membership on our membership site or a full page ad in the program, 2 signed books of choice and a tote bag.

Lastly, people who donate $2,000 will get two tickets to the conference, the program, a year membership, become certified as an online tutor, VIP dinner in Miami, 2 signed books of choice, and the tote bag. This is an all or nothing fundraiser.

If we raise the funds then everybody gets all of these sweet rewards, but if we don’t raise the amount we need, the conference that will unite online tutors will not be able to happen. So spread the word to your friends. If we raise more money than we are asking for, then we will be able to plan special events for the attendees and provide meals for them.
