The current COVID-19 outbreak is impacting learning for more than 62M students in Indonesia who are experiencing school closures, and has particularly dire consequences for the education of children in households that are already in precarious economic situations and don't have the resources to rapidly adapt to distance learning.
The INCO Education Accelerator is an emergency response program designed to support nonprofit organizations working with children and families to ensure equitable access to schooling during the COVID-19 crisis in Indonesia and around the world. Together with the support of Google.org as part of its global initiative, the Distance Learning Fund, participating organizations receive both financial support and the technical assistance necessary to digitize their activities and provide equitable access to education for children with the greatest needs.
Your support for the INCO Education Accelerator will directly benefit the Putera Sampoerna Foundation and Semua Murid Semua Guru in Indonesia to develop digital learning hubs and provide wider access to quality materials for teachers, students and parents. Teachers will be able to use virtual classrooms to teach from home with all necessary tools and resources in the hub at their disposal. Through this effort, these local nonprofits hope to reach over 1,500 teachers and 45,500 students and parents across the country over the coming months.
We know that we are facing an unprecedented global challenge. The organizations on the front line, serving the most vulnerable, are facing this global challenge head on. One child at a time. One family at a time. This is why we invite you to join INCO to support the nonprofits that are providing essential educational support services in Indonesia and across the world.
