In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) Journey

My wife and I have been married for 11 years and during 8 years we have been trying to get pregnant. I am with 38 years and she has 35 years today. When we decided to have a baby I thought for sure it would happen right away and was very disappointed to find out that it was not that easy. After trying for almost 3 years we decided to go to a doctor, was when my wife was diagnosed with Endometriosis. She did a Laparoscopic Surgery with her doctor, an incision in her belly button and go in with a camera and see what was going on. After one month she began to use a medice called ZOLADEX by almost 8 months continuously. After that, we went to a fertility specialist called Fernando Sanches. The first step was to have an ink test. They inject ink into your fallopian tubes to make sure everything is flowing through correctly, and everything was perfect with her. I had to do an spermogram and with me also was everything normal. Months went by and still no baby. My wife always hoped during this time she would get pregnant naturally. After this frustrating period, we decided return to the fertility doctor again and he informed us we could still have a baby, but we had to do in vitro fertilization (IVF), the only way. This sounds very simple, but it’s a lot of shots, test, and so much more. Our doctor has told us the cost around $8,000 and none of this is covered by our health plan. We are hoping to do IVF this year, but that will greatly depend on how much we raise. I cannot put into words how grateful we will be for any donations for any amount.
