Winter is already here and the animals are getting cold! 

The grade 7 students at Glenmary School are raising money for In the Woods Animal Rescue Shelter.

In the Woods Animal Rescue Shelter is a non-profit animal rescue and adoption organization dedicated to saving the lives of animals. The shelter is also a registered charity.

*We are raising money because Sheryl Woods, the owner of the shelter, rescues animals that are mistreated and homeless in hopes that others will adopt these animals and give them loving homes.

 *We are raising money because Sheryl runs the shelter from her home and is running out of room for the animals and money for food and shelter costs are very high. Even though Sheryl has no room left, she continues to rescue these animals because she can’t bare to see homeless, mistreated animals.

As a No-Kill animal rescue, the shelter responds in an expedient and professional manner. They ensure that the animals recieve the best care in order to bring them up to maximum potential health both physically and emotionally before being adopted out. The animals are rehabilitated then ultimately placed in a compatible loving home. The shelter symbolizes the unique and lasting ways that animals touch the human spirit. Each adoption will be a living tribute to the memory of those animals they have lost.

At the end of our fundraising effort, the grade 7’s will stay awake for 24 hours at our school to show their support for our cause.
