So as you may have noticed, Puerto Rico has gotten increasingly stagnant in terms of overall living situation, and the electric provider had begun to increase the prices for utility, which further damages the overall living conditions; normally I can conserve electricity to avoid increased electric bills, but this is no longer the case.

With each and every year getting progressively worse, it felt like a stab in the heart because LUMA Energy is not only the sole electric provider, they are notorious for constantly overcharging their customers (myself included), just for their mediocre service.

And Puerto Rico is notorious for constant power outages that can last for hours, days, weeks, and maybe months depending on the severity. And their repeated excuses led to protests, maybe riots, and neither of them were successful. And because that one electric provider continues to be in service and are never held accountable, its come to a point where its become impossible for me to continue to live like this. And the government of Puerto Rico has done little to improve, and has instead made it worse.

Originally, I wanted to move to the US in 2020, but it didn't happened due to the pandemic, and I even turned down on the office job because of long, egregious work hours, along with sedentary environment that makes it all the more unpleasant to enjoy. And unfortunately, work-from-home jobs were nonexistent in Puerto Rico so I was fresh out of luck. And my house had to undergo renovations because of asbestos having accumulated in ceilings. Because of these renovations, the sale for the house was then pushed to 2024.

The reason why I haven't been able to work personally is due to stagnant wages, and no English-speaking jobs are available, if at all. And work-from-home jobs are impossible to find because many of their "work-from-home sites" are either scams or are strictly limited to the mainland US and do not offer work-from-home jobs to US territories. So I've been scraping on how much money I could earn from specific sites, but not by much. Otherwise, job opportunities are too few and far between for me.

So because my living situation is getting increasingly unstable, I want to move to the states as soon as possible before next year, which I don't have. Furthermore, with power outages becoming more and more prevalent due to the electric provider's constant neglect along with their greed, it's nearly impossible to live a normal life and earn a living (even freelance work will only earn me so little). The problem is that if I try to put my house for sale, the bank will take notice of this and will take a sizable amount of cut from the house being bought, thus leaving me and my parents with less than what we've originally earned. And its left me in a precarious situation in either me having to wait until February of 2024 while the already-uneventful situation continues to unfold throughout this year, or risk in putting my house up for sale as a last, desperate act and have the bank take a sizable amount of funds originally earned UNLESS I pay off the bank first in order to give me the green light in putting my house up for sale for a willing buyer to purchase the house for me to move to the states for good (at least around $25,000 to pay the bank in order to allow).

While I'm indeed aware of the current situation going on in the US, the reason why this is, is because I have relatives living in the states, and even though the situation over there is indeed shaky, for me, anything over there is better than where I'm living in. It'll at least give me better opportunities in not just working, but also live a new and better life.

On a side note, I will also be taking part in donating a portion of my money with me, assuming that I've scraped enough to add those funds in. And the reason why there are no actual photos (apart from the flag of Puerto Rico, but half-normal, half-black) or videos on where I'm currently living in is due to safety reasons, and my real name will remain anonymous for safety reasons also.
