In memory of our loving Grandfather, John Grasso

My sisters and I are trying to raise money to plant a tree at Captree State Park in memory of our Grandfather who was taken from us 21 years ago. He was an amazing man who was sweet, kind and funny. Alot of our fondest memories of him are when he used to take us to Captree to do all sorts of fishing. When we were younger, Grandpa used to park the boat and we would get out and go digging for clams with our bare feet. He also used to make us stuff the crab traps with stinky chum and we would catch a ton of huge crabs for Grandmas sauce...LOL. Besides Grandpa taking us out on the water to be expert "fishermen", he also had a passion for pigeons. Grandpa was the top breeder in all of the East Coast. When we were little Grandpa used to bring us up into his rickety old pigeon coop. It definately was his pride and joy, besides his grandkids. He also used to let us feed and play with the baby birds. Our Grandfather was also a World War II Vet who served on the U.S.S. Hubbard in the Navy. Our Grandfather was a remarkable man and we, our children and our future children hope to never forget their Great Grandfather. We want to do something special so that his memory will always live on. Please help us raise money to plant a tree and for a memorial plaque in our Grandfathers name to be planted at Captree State Park in rememberance of our Grandfather John Grasso.
