After feeling called by God to come to the Midwest, we relocated to Cabool Missouri from Riverside California in 1999, and started Set Free Ozarks Ministries. The thought never occurred to us that we would one day need medical help in order to keep the ministry going. In the last 14 years Rev. Rex has had 2 heart attacks, quadruple bi-pass surgery, 2 strokes and is now facing major prostate issues. Our needs are big but our
God is bigger. We used to fund the ministry by doing hard physical labor, however due to recent medical issues that is no longer a possibility.

At Set Free Ozarks Ministries, we are committed to serving God and those in need. The homeless, addicted, the afflicted, the lost and the hopeless. Using the principles of spirituality, we offer practical tools for leading a joyous, abundant and peaceful life. We feed, clothe, and house them, teaching them the skills they need to be positive influence in their families and communities.

Set Free Ozarks Ministries opened its doors officially in February 2002. However, we have been taking in the
homeless since April 1999. The ministry is located at Tod’s Motel in Cabool, Missouri. It's a small historic motor court which was purchased by Rev. Rex and his wife Kenette.

We currently hold services in the cafe building on the property. The motel is divided into half ministry and half
rental to the public (this limits the number of in-takes). Last year 2012 we were able to provide 2,102 “Safe Bed Nights” and 8,467 meals. The need is great and getting greater. Together we can make a difference in so many broken lives. We invite you to become partners with us, to reach out to those in need right here in our own community, while bringing glory to Christ.

It's truly amazing what God can do, even in a town like Cabool, MO. Some may say that in a town this small
a transitional shelter of any kind is not needed, however the need is great even here in this small town. We here at Set Free Ozarks Ministries/Tod's Motel are blessed daily to see God work in the lives of others. As we do what God has us to do, He not only changes other’s lives, but ours as well. We have been truly blessed to be allowed to serve the community of Cabool, in providing a clean, safe, Christian based transitional housing shelter, food and other services to those in need.

Our goals and needs are:

• Be able to turn the entire property into ministry housing, shelter and low income café‘.
• For the Ministry property to be 100% debt free. ($70,000.00).
• For the Ministry to be self-sufficient (until resent medical issues ministry shortages are made up by Rev & wife)
• To able to get the prostate testing that Rev. Rex needs so badly, and reduce the medical bills from two prior strokes.
• To be able to show even more people that God really loves the and that Jesus died just for
  them.
