Impacto Missions Trip 2019 (Perú August 12th to 23rd)

Impacto School of Ministry and Transformation - Impacto is changing the Spiritual landscape of Oaxaca and greater Mexico from the inside out. Nearly 100 students have been part of the 7 generations and have not only fallen in love with God's Word via the curriculum taught, but also fallen in love with walking in God's footsteps, being His hands and feet, as they live up to the reality of being made for Impact. Among many other things at Impacto, students learn about original design, freedom in Christ, the living in step with the Holy Spirit, missions, etc. Current and former students attend and are leaders in over 40 different churches, which is helping unify the local body.

What are we doing? As part of the learning by practicing philosophy at Impacto, we believe the best way to grow is to serve and to stretch in faith beyond what one is comfortable. This missions trip is a very unique opportunity for Mexican Christian student leaders. The lessons learned and experiences gained cannot be taught out of a book. For the overseas missions trips, local students obey the great commission, they contact and coordinate with the overseas host, they plan all the things they will need and do during their time there, and one important aspect is they support raise for their trips. Support raising opens their eyes to the Universal body of Christ, increases humbleness, accountability, gratefulness and faith. These are valuable lessons for the next generation of Christian leaders in Oaxaca.

What will we be doing in Peru? Many of the plans below are still being formulated and in flux, but here's a sneak peak

1. Lima - Will be working with some local pastors to do the following outreaches
   • Focus on the Red light district where we'll minister to drug addicts, prostitutes
   • Focus on the poorest and most dangerous area of Peru
   • Festival where we'll love on people, and share Christ with them
   • Open air preaching
   • Visiting Jr/High schools to give presentations on drugs, sex etc..
   • Possible Orphanage visit
2. Cusco Region
   • We will be visiting 2-3 Indigenous villages - the specifics of what we will do has yet to be pinned down
   • Possible prison ministry

How to Pray for us?

Some of the biggest Goliaths to defeat for a trip like this is discouragement and disbelief that God will provide. It's no surprise because the cost of a flight to a local Mexican is a mountain to climb. Pray that God will keep us praying, raising, selling things, encouraged, growing in faith and excitement and ultimately doing our best.

If you note specifically whom the gift is for, we will try to honor your wish. Note: we want to reserve the right to allocate funding where necessary, even if there's a specific note, but we don't forsee this happening. If there is no specification, we will divide the pool as needed.

Cost is about $1400 per person. Team is around 10-14 (we want everyone to have the opportunity). This cost will cover the following

• Airfare RT Oax to Lima, Lima to Cusco is the biggest cost
• In country transportation
• Food and Lodging
• Tourist day to Ruins
• Outreach expenses
