James Ellman is a peacemaker, a bridge builder, a community hero. This humble Sacred Activist has started studying with the New York based One Spirit Interfaith Seminary to become an Interfaith Minister so that he can be more effective in the peace building, bridge building role he plays in the poverty - and crime-ridden areas of the Western Cape. He started with zero guarantee of funding - just an enormous faith in Divine Guidance and that somehow, he would be shown the way to generate the funding needed.

James has worked for peace all his adult life, living a life of compassionate support of his community in the crime, gang and drug infested areas around Cape Town where the killing rate is higher than in many of the world's war zones. James imagines a world in which people of diverse beliefs, ethnicity, socio-economic background and education can come together to learn, share, grow and build bridges of peace and understanding. In 2017 he started Faith Hope Love Charity, a not for profit organisation that teaches children a different way of life and reaches out to all citizens to give them an opportunity for a new perspective of their environment, their neighbours, their lives, their country.

James' vision of Peace is through education. He wants to help start an Interfaith Seminary in Cape Town, which would be the first of its kind in South Africa. He imagines a place where people can come to learn about each other, and through learning can achieve the kind of healing that leads to the realisation of Nelson Mandela's dream for South Africa and a true experience of the Human Rights enshrined in our constitution, but denied to our people because of the social, political and educational injustices that continue to plague a nation in distress. And first, he has to become an Interfaith Minister. In faith, he has embarked on this path of study. Please join him on this journey.

If you can Imagine Peace, you can be part of creating it.

It takes almost 15 South African rands to buy just one American Dollar. Every dollar donated is a valued stepping stone for James' project. Thank you in advance for every heart-felt contribution, every prayer, every share.

Imagine Peace.
