I’m reaching out to those who care

As you Know, my family and I have been running a Coffee Shop/Deli in Five Oak Green in Kent for the last 18 month. However , things in the village have significantly changed.

The Village lost its Major bus service last April and the local private bus only runs each hour until early afternoon and which is extremely expensive, this has had implications for the villagers with regards to daily tasks including shopping , a high percentage of villagers are elderly with limited Knowledge of internet usage for them to do internet shopping.

During the extreme weather earlier this year, it became apparent just how isolated we as a village was and with regards to essential items that residents needed on a day to day basis, although we sell milk, bread etc there was a high demand for additional services that we do not offer.

However we have a plan. Firstly I explored the franchise route we thought that by opting in to a one stop/spar type shop we would be able to serve our villagers, however there were two obstacles, Firstly our square footage of the shop was not large enough and secondly we were to remote.

So moving on we have had store designers in and we plan to revamp ourselves we are including a whole load of additional products and services that the villagers need and want expanding on the grocery side of the business, selling meat, fish, fruit and veg all that can be sourced locally thus keeping the business within 15 mile radius

However, having the store designers in, marketing our ideas has all cost money and with only being trading for 18 months in our existing capacity and we've fallen short of the funds needed to moved forward, we are short of £5,000 pounds.

This is needed to buy equipment, purchase stock, we have a dead line of the end of May to acquire this amount in order to secure the best price possible.

We've searched everywhere and approached every major bank but we cannot raise this £5,000. That's why we've reaching out
